In dwapar, this mantra was given to yudhishthir by Lord Krishna. Even Lord Krishna has said, the there is no mantra greater than Shri Rama Jay Rama mantra for getting bhog and moksha.
However,According to my personal belief, the 6 lettered Shri Rama mantra is even greater than the Shri Rama Jay Rama mantra.
By reciting this 6 lettered Mantra, the sadhak gets param sukh, he gets param saubhagya, his house is filled with param aishwarya, param daridrataa is destroyed, param shok & santaap are destroyed, param rog is removed, param mangal happens, param aanand is experienced, even stone becomes honey, there is an increase in dharma in him as well as among those around him.
By chanting this mantra, the voice of the sadhak becomes as melodious as a nightingale.
Shri Rama mantras can be chanted on kamalghatta, tulsi, sandalwood or rudraksh mala.
Till now, Even I didn't know that Shri Rama mantras can be chanted on Rudraksh malas. But I believe that is better to chant Sri Rama mantras on tulsi or chandan malas.

1. 6 lettered Rama mantra - By chanting this mantra, the sadhak gets bhog and moksha very very quickly.
2. Shri Rama Jay Rama mantra - a very powerful mantra. It has been seen that by chanting just 10 malas daily, even the incurable diseases start getting cured.
3. Hare Rama Hare Krishna Mantra - this mantra is very very powerful. It be chanted in any condition, whether pure or impure. By chanting it 35 million(3.5 crore) times, a person gets rid of all the sins. Even from the sin of giving up dharma.
For those who cannot do this, for them also, there are various remedies:
Such people can read the Ramayana, or they can recite his sahasranaam stotra, or meditate on his vishwaroop, or chant his ashtottara shat naam, or simply chant "ॐ राम " 100 times, or recite Shri Rama Stavaraaj, or recite Mantraraaj stava by Hanuman or chant ashtottara shat naam of Maa Sita or read Sita stotra. By doing so, one will without any doubt attain paramatma.
All these remedies are said by Shri Rama himself.
One must always work towards achieving moksha. Because moksha is not so easy thing to achieve.
Moksha is achieved when the paap as well as the punya become zero. Only then, does a person achieve moksha.
Unfortunately, a few think that achieving moksha is meant to be easy. They do not know, that when we talk about sins or punya, it refers to the paap or punya that has been earned in the past crores of births.
Some people expect all these paap and punya to burn away within 6-12 months. This, in real life, is never possible.
For the followers of Shri Rama, there a few rules which have been specified by Lord Hanuman:
1. He should bath thrice a day.
2. He should eat only satvic and havishya ann foods
3. He should follow the prescribed ashram and all its rules according to his age. i.e. Brahmacharya ashram, Grihasth ashram, Vaanaprasth ashram,etc.
4. He should give up on the 6 negative emotions viz. anger, lust, pride, jealousy, attachment and ego.
5. He must maintain hygiene, both bodily and spiritually.
6. He must stop lustful talks.
7.He must maintain brahmacharya.
8. He must be a guru parayan purush.
9. He must do bhumi shayya.
10. He should observe bath, worship, recitation, meditation and havan religiously.
11. He must follow the orders of his guru.
12. He must also serve/worship sun, moon, cow, brahmin, guru and diya.
13. He must, if possible, sit under a tulsi tree or parijata tree for japa.
The person who follows these rules and chant's Lord Rama's name, Anima and all the 8 siddhis follow him like a bride follows her groom.

If Rama mantras can be chanted with Rudraksh mala then can Krishna mantras be chanted with Rudraksh mala.
Yes. But there is just one source which talks about the use of rudraksh malas. Hence, on the safer side, it is better to use tulsi malas or the like only.
DeleteAll other sources say that tulsi malas, kamal ghatta malas or vaijaynti malas are for Vaishnav upasana. But since one source mentions it, it is necessary to mention the same as well. Even if our conscience doesn't agree with it.

Sir i chanted 1 mala three tyms a day for sucess of a mantra prayog i was doing that tym coz i was getting vry much hurdels while chanting....
sir i got amazing respose from 1st mala n my prayog mantra start running in my mind , n hurdels stopped ... also i expreanced many other benifit

Any ashtottarashat naam stotra can be chanted. They all will give same results.
DeleteThere isnt much difference between a namavali and a stotra. IN the stotra version, 1000 names are mentioned without the Om and namah.
In the namavali, the tenses are added to the names and om and namah are added.
A namavali is only created for havan. Not for chanting. But people chant namavali.
Namavali chanting can never bring the kind of results a stotra does.
