Mantra to make Lord Shiva your Guru

Lord Shiva is the supreme form of one and all gods. It is said that "sarvadevaatma rudraaha; rudrahatma sarvadevtaaha"
which means - Within all gods resides Lord Rudra and within Rudra himself resides all gods.
In other words, all the gods are nothing but a form of Lord Rudra.

Lord Shiva is the supreme guru. Today I am sharing a mantra chanting which a person can get the blessings and guidance of Lord Shiva as his guru and they way a guru guides a sadhak, similarly, Lord shiva, the supreme guru will guide you and spread knowledge with you.

Mantra :

 ||ॐ  विदिता न मया विशदैककला न च किंचन काञ्चनमस्ति गुरो ।
 द्रुतमेव विधेहि कृपां सहजां भव शंकर देशिक मे शरणम् ॥
|| ॐ viditā na mayā viśadaikakalā na ca kiṃcana kāñcanamasti guro ।
drutameva vidhehi kṛpāṃ sahajāṃ bhava śaṃkara deśika me śaraṇam ||

Meaning -
I have not understood even a single ounce of knowledge clearly, nor do I possess any wealth, O Supreme Guru.
Quickly bestow on me your compassion. O Supreme Guru Shankara, be my refuge.

The mantra can be chanted any time of day wearing any clothes and on any aasan.
However, red clothes and red aasan must be avoided.  The direction must be North East.
One must use a rudraksh maala or a sphatik mala for the japa and if possible, he must also do a simple puja of shivling before starting the japa.

There are no other rules to be followed. You can chant it any time of the day.
Atleast 1 mala must be chanted daily. If you chant more, even better.
Other than this, before starting the japa, he must mentally worship Lord Ganesh, Parvati, Narayan, Lakshmi, Surya, Chandra and Lord Nandi.

That is it.

Hopefully, using this mantra, all the people who do not have a guru will get Lord Shiva as his guru and gain his blessings.

  5. When lord Shiva comes in your dreams, when you start getting mantras in dreams, when you'd have thought of some problem and then later in some hours you find an answer for it from friends, in books, internet or any other medium - all of these are signs that Shiva is guiding you as a guru.
